Last Wednesday saw us host a Multi Table Tournament ....... 2 tables is hardly on a par with the WSOP, but it's a start.
The final table of 7 started at level 9 with the blinds at 400/800.

BeanznToast was to move all-in on the first hand after the break. His Q-9 didn't improve over Weblomaniac's A-6. Stevo was the next quick exit after Smokin Aces caught a flush on the turn. Play tightened up as the blinds passed 500-1000, but as the second short stack Gaffer moved all in with pocket 9s. Weblomaniac who was the short stack, and pot committed called for all his chips with pocket 4s, but in a bizarre almost suicidal move Smokin Aces also calls . He MUST be holding the NUTS !!! Smokin 'The maniac' Aces turns over POCKET 2s !!!!! No-one improves and Gaffer cannot believe it, he has became 2nd chip leader and almost crippled Smokin Aces in the process. Things don't improve for Aces as he follows Weblomaniac soon after in 4th place.

Down to 3 - Mr G, No1_H and Gaffer. Mr G and No1_H obtain most of the chips by the time the blinds are 800/1600. Mr G and No1_H make a strange play. No1_H calls Mr.G's big blind. Mr. G checks (slow playing Snowmen) both players check down to the river where Mr G hits trips. Mr G make s a big all-in move, but the last 8 makes No1_H's straight and he cant get his chips in quick enough. Its a close call, but No1_H has Mr G covered and its a respectable 3rd place for Mr G.
Heads up its a bit of a battle - both players having respect and a good knowledge of how the other plays. The blinds capped at 1000 - 2000, Gaffer mounts a bit of a comeback, but cant capitalise when he catches the rockets. The final hand is a classic 'overcard' domination. Gaffer gets A-7 in the small blind and is insta-called by No1_H who has A-8. Gaffer finishes a jubilant 2nd and No1_H a triumphant win.
